Helen is an experienced leader who has 30 years experience in education. She has held a range of leadership positions within schools & trusts, including Principal and Director of Education. Helen was a Principal for 8 years and during this time she transformed the second worst performing school in England, taking it from special measures to good in 18 months and received a national award for the most improved school in the country (progress).
As a Headteacher, Helen has led schools in areas of high deprivation, rural and urban locations and with advantaged and disadvantaged catchment areas. As an executive leader, Helen has supported and challenged schools in coastal, rural and inner-city schools, bringing much success.
Helen’s values are Trust, Transparency and Togetherness, these alongside her passion to make a difference and impact for young people and staff, has resulted in much success and achievement for the schools she has supported.
Helen is an experienced trainer, providing CPD for primary and secondary teachers. As a consultant she provides a range of school improvement services. She fully believes in the power of professional coaching and to this end strives to empower staff to find their solutions, so they are successful and impact is clearly evident.
